Western Inn & Suites

From the outside, this looks like a rundown motel but it was very nice and super clean on inside. Bathroom had many great updates. There wasn't a do not disturb sign so they came in everyday and cleaned up (which I prefer not to have anyone in my room during my stays). That would be my only "complaint" if you can call it that. Close to Honolulu Hills Raceway where I was working an event.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The carpet was in good shape and looked clean. The 2 queen beds were firm but not too hard. There were 3 pillows on each bed. Very comfortable. There is a small microwave and a small refrigerator with a freezer on the top section. There was a small coffee machine. The coffee was decaffeinated. We haven't ask for more yet. They also had a full size ironing board and iron. There is a wall air conditioner...it worked great. The room cost $92 per night. Fair for here. There is a small pool. Seating around the pool. No pets. ***They need to add more security bars in the bathroom. The shower had only one bar. It was up by the shower head and the doo They really need to put one or two more security bars in the shower on the wall and one by the toilet. We are both 77 years old and using the shower & toilet were scary. We were concerned about there being no way to get up if we fell. ***They also need to replace their very old ice machine. It's not able to keep up with the demand. It had 3 or 4 cubes at 9:30 pm. The staff were all kind, trusting and concerned about our welfare. All in all we were very happy and comfortable staying here. We stayed Thursday night and are leaving Monday morning. Were are very comfortable with recommending that staying here is a good idea

This place is very clean. I've stayed there twice now. Both times my room was immaculate. Since my first stay they have updated their bathrooms. The bathrooms are handicap accessible and you can roll a wheelchair right into the shower. The shower stall is a bit of a juxtaposition compared to the rest of the room (it's super sleek and modern). My bed on this last visit was comfortable. No backache or discomfort at all. The bed linens smelled fresh and the pillows were soft and fluffy. This place is an excellent value. I would recommend it to anyone passing through town looking for a clean, quiet place to sleep.

I practically sleep on a cloud at home and I was happy with the mattress here. +1 Star Honestly, the linens were very clean and rather soft. The bedspread seemed freshly laundered and as I walked around barefoot in the bathroom area the floor felt clean beneath my feet. This hotel is conveniently located right next to a couple of eating establishments so you can walk to dinner easily. Another thing I liked about the place was the parking lot - there is only one entrance/exit. I was there on a motorcycle and I felt safer parking my bike knowing that the comings and goings were being monitored. The arrangement also keeps folks from being able to randomly stop in and check out the parking lot. Overall, safe, inexpensive accommodations, comfortable rooms and a hospitable manager. I will be back next time I roll through.

Very clean very well taken care of. Mattress real firm pillows very basic. Fridge and microwave coffee maker all very good. Great place to stay when in taft.
